Fabric Painting - Continued - Hollyhock |
| Gayle Pulley |
Learn how to paint a flower,
and create some incredible
quilt blocks. This class is for
everyone, even if you have not
painted. There is a kit fee for
use of the paints, so the supply
list is easy!
You could use these gorgeous
blocks for some creative quilting
using your BSR.
Complete the nine blocks to make the Painted Garden quilt. Students may sign up for one class at a time or reserve a spot for all nine classes. Class size is limited to 8.
Class fees: $30.00 for the class with a $5.00 materials fee for using my paint, frames, brushes etc. I will provide everything except your fabric. You need to provide a piece of white, high thread count 100% cotton 12" x 16" for each painting. Please wash your fabric before class. We will be doing one painting in each class, I would buy a yard and a half if you plan on painting all of the blocks.
I will have available for purchase painting kits for those who want to jump in with both feet. The kit will include 8 bottles of paint, pallet, frame and push pins, 3 brushes, resist and applicator bottle with three tips and eyedropper, the cost will be $55.00.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ARTIST TO DO THIS! I can't stress that enough. I provide a pattern and written instructions for each painting and walk you through it one step at a time. So bring a desire to learn and step out of your comfort zone, come and have fun. If you have questions you can e-mail me at illusions@rainierconnect.com |

| Star Gazer |

This quilt is similar to a
stack- n-whack, so you need

be able to create the centers
of the stars, and it will also
be used for the border.
You’ll learn to cut fabric for
a quilt with the stack-nwhack
method, and watch
your stars unfold.

| Tops & Tails |
| Irene Moss |
This is a wonderful technique using two groups of
contrasting fabrics and an accent fabric. Strips are cut,
sewn, and recut. The end results are almost as numerous
as log cabin blocks. You can choose to make the
pattern like the sample, or twist and turn the blocks
into your unique piece. You will end up with two
quilts: one made from the Tops, and one made from
the Tails. The book, Quilts on the Double, by Judy
Hooworth and Margaret Rolfe is required.

Learn to make this all time favorite quilt! This is lovely
in florals, traditional in 30’s, dynamic in batiks and
Orientals. Make a wall-hanging of 4-9 blocks, or a bed

love the result!
