Serger Mastery Class
 

Learn how to use your serger in this exceptional class.  Bring your serger, your manual, your mastering book, and a pen!  You’ll feel confident with all of those threads in no time.

Test Drive an Artista Today!
The best way to find out about machines is to sew on one! Test driving gives you lots of examples of sewing, embroidery and quilting. You’ll have fun and go home with a small project and a gift, and a machine too!
Thursday, January 17th or Feb 21st, 10:30-1:00

Come in and make a small project and practice using the embroidery and the Stitch Regulator! You’ll love the ease of the stitching and the fun of the stitch regulator!

Thursday, April 24th, 10:30-1:30

“Waiting for Sunset”: You’ll make several drunkard’s path blocks, embroider, quilt (using the Stitch Regulator), and bind this small piece to take home!

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 10:00 - 11:30 pm

$ 20.00

In this class you’ll be concentrating on using your Bernina Stitch regulator.  You will learn to use it with or without the foot pedal.  You’ll be working with pre-printed fabric and following a design.  Come and see what you can do with this fabulous foot.  This class is for everyone who has purchased a machine with a BSR, has upgraded to a BSR, or who wants to see if they would enjoy it. 


Embroidery Club

 This club meets on the 2nd Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 or the Wednesday following from 10-12.  

 This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about using your embroidery machine, all of the capabilities of embroidery and have fun making a project.  Be sure to give us your email to receive the embroidery club supply lists. 

 


Version 5 Software, Designer Plus

Version 5 includes advanced monograms, borders, frames, auto-appliqué, more fonts, removing underlays, the ability to create your own designs for clothing and quilts, includes multi-hooping where you can add hoops to create larger designs.   The thread chart will help you manage your thread collection.  Removing overlaps is easy.  Creating buttonholes, even in embroidered designs is simple!  

You will love Version 5, and you’ll enjoy using it too!  Sign up for the Software Sampler class and become proficient!


Software Sampler

Software Sampler is hands on software training on the fourth Saturday at 11:00 each month in the shop.  

This computer based training is $10.00 for the session.  You receive a packet with the printed information and a CD, so you can use it easily on your own again after the class.  

We will have an additional session on Wednesday October 3rd from 10-12.  This class will be a repeat from Saturday, Sept 22nd.

On Wednesday Nov 7th from 10-12 we will have a repeat from Saturday, Oct 27th.  Please sign up for these sessions. 

This is a fabulous opportunity to learn, and use your software.  

If you missed some sessions you can still purchase the CD’s.  Just let Mary know.   

September’s program is the Border Software, which is a stand alone program.  Learn how to use this wonderful tool to compute the number of designs needed for your tablecloth, or length of fabric!   

In October we’ll be doing both auto-appliqué and partial appliqué.

Class Registration & Policy
  • You may register over the telephone, in the store, by email, or in writing.  We need your check, or credit card (with expiration date) at the time of registration.
  • Our teachers really work hard at not only preparing for classes, but also in keeping up with what is new and planning new classes.  In order to commit to them, we have the following policies:
  • If the class is under $20.00 we require your full payment at the time we write down your name - if the class is over $20.00, we ask for one-half of the fee.  You must cancel five days in advance - this means a Monday for a Saturday class - to receive your refund or credit.
  • Please be on time for class, with your sewing machine which you know how to operate.   We do not allow children or other visitors in class.
  • Thanks and have a good time!
